How to resync Gmail between Chrome and iPhone?

I haven't changed any settings that I'm aware of and have already restarted and confirmed that IMAP is enabled... But for some reason, when I archive or delete an email on my iPhone, those emails are still marked as unread in my inbox in Chrome on my laptop. I've tried logging out, pausing sync and then turning it on again. Nothing has worked so far, so I'm not sure how to fix the issue... Any advice would be amazing! Thanks!

Have you tried using the Gmail app on the iPhone for your Gmail account. That is all I use for Gmail, especially since it supports Push.

I haven't... I've been using Gmail on Chrome + the native mail app on my iPhone for ages and it's worked perfectly. I'd love to just find the fix if there is one! If not, I'll try the Gmail app. Thanks :)

You're welcome. Are you just accessing your Gmail by the Chrome browser? You also mention the native Mail app. As far as I know, Gmail requires a 2 factor authentication for mail when using the native Mail app. If there is an issue with the mail app, I would suggest that you try deleting the Gmail account, power cycle the phone, then add the account back and see how it works.
