What troubleshooting have you done from this list (in this order)?

• Restart your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
• Restart your router by removing all power from it for a few seconds
• Reset Network Settings: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

All iPhones disconnect from Wi-Fi 30 seconds after the screen locks; this is nothing new. If it happens when you are using the phone, then the next thing to check is Settings/Cellular/Wi-Fi Assist. If it is turned on the phone will switch to cellular data if the Wi-Fi performance is lower than you would get with cellular. On my phone, for example, my 5G data is 500 mbps, my Wi-Fi is only 100 mbps at home, and much lower when out and about.

If neither of the above address your issue, you Reset Network Settings and it happens with multiple networks your phone has a hardware problem; use the Get Support link at the top of this page to discuss repair options.

Are you using a VPN? If so delete the VPN profile and app and see if that fixes it.

Have you tried rebooting your network router? And checked to see if the problem is with one network, or all networks?

It’s confusing as my phone will connect and work fine when I connect it to my wifi extender network but not when I use my main router
