Hi, Snjdzjzjns.

As long as your devices are supported, you should be able to add them by following the steps outlined here:

"Add accessories with your iPhone or iPad

To add an accessory to the Home app, use your iPhone or iPad. You can't add accessories to the Home app on Mac.

The Home app screen on iOS showing the Add Accessory tile

  1. Open the Home app and tap Add  .
  2. Tap Add Accessory .
  3. Use the camera on your iPhone or iPad to scan the eight-digit HomeKit code, or QR code on the accessory or accessory documentation. If you have an iPhone 7 or later and see NFC-compatibility symbol on your accessory, hold your iPhone near the accessory to add it.
  4. When your accessory appears, tap it. If asked to Add Accessory to Network, tap Allow.
  5. Assign your accessory to a room and name it to help you identify it in the Home app and control it with Siri.
  6. Tap Continue, then tap Done.

If you're doing that and continue to have issues, you can reach out to Apple directly to look into this with you further here: Add an accessory to the Home app - Apple Support

Cheers.

I have a Logitech Circle that was reliable until iOS 16 was released. I know every new release has bugs, and that never stops me from upgrading. While it is helpful to see instructions on how to add a device, it’s obvious that there are some HomeKit bugs. As I’ve been writing this, that camera went offline and came back online before I could finish. I’m wondering if there are any suggestions other than the official Apple Support documentation.

I have Lutron switches and Ring cameras. All either no longer works or goes off line intermittently with Homekit. This is not just after IOS 16.

However, I have also found that each App from their manufacturer have excellent geofencing apps that work fine WITHOUT Homekit in use, as Homekit relies on other companies apps for Their GeoFencing capabilities. And Homekit Has No actual geofencing settings of its own at all.

So I deleted Homekit, and everything now works smoothly and properly.

A pity Apple can’t get it done on their own and has to use other companies app features to make their products work. HomeKit was a good idea but just can’t get it to work right.
