Using iPad as a continuity camera for facetime
Hi, I know you can use an iPhone as a continuity camera with a Macbook Pro M1. However, how does one get the iPad pro's camera to be a facetime continuity camera like the iPhone does?

Hello, according to this support document, Continuity Camera: Use your iPhone or iPad to scan documents or take a picture on your Mac - Apple Support, only the iPhone can be used for FaceTime on your Mac.
OK, thanks. I know about documents and picture usage. But was hoping to use the iPad as a camera for video calls too. I'm sure if the iPhone could do it, technically the iPad can do it. Are there any plans to software enable the iPad camera for this too? It seems it would just be a simple software switch.
yeah but it's more about if you have 2 or 3 other screens. then you can put a much better quality camera with face tracking below or above your one monitor where your screen is. I guess Apple sees it as just trying to work around a very poor bezel camera that should have been the same quality as the iPhone or iPad camera in the first place. Certainly for the price you are paying for a MacBook now.
I agree but I guess having a huge iPad behind the Mac does not make sense to them. LOL
