Big-Jim-Slade,
Thank you for these additional details.
We'd like to make sure that we're on the same page.
Does it look like the issue is resolved now that migration has been completed?

Take care!
Hello Big-Jim-Slade,
Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about missing passwords.
Please verify you are in your normal admin account. Go to System Preferences > Users. Verify your main Admin account is the one you are currently in.
If you are not in your main admin account, log out and log back in to the right account.
If you already are in your main admin account, check if they are still here: How to find saved passwords and passkeys on your Mac - Apple Support
Thanks.
To clarify. I did the migration from the olde computer to the new one when I got the machine. At that time I was able to log into all the web sites.
Then the computer did an update and most of the passwords disappeared.
That is the state now. So I am unresolved.
Maybe the is a misunderstanding.
After the migration from old computer to new computer (connected the two via network), all the passwords were working.
The computer did an OS upgrade and now only about 4 passwords are working.
I am also seeing this on one of our computers. It started after the update to 12.6.1. So far it has only affected our kid's non-admin, non-iCloud-synced account. All passwords go missing from the Local Items of KeyChain Access and from the Safari Password list. We can resolve it (temporarily) by logging out and logging back in. When we do this the passwords re-appear in KeyChain and Safari. This has occurred a couple of times now since upgrading. It is a relief to have the passwords come back after logging out and back in, but it is sure an uncomfortable feeling when they disappear!
Big-Jim-Slade, have you tried logging out and back in?
I discovered what happened in my case. Buried in settings under iCloud, there an option to enable or disable keychain. That option got disabled after an upgrade so the passwords stopped working. I had to reenable.
The passwords are not there....but they were immediately after I migrated.
