Can you trade in an iPhone that’s not working?

A non-working device has no trade in value. Apple will recycle it for you at no charge.

If the phone is only two months old, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.

No. One year limited warranty. Which covers manufacturing defects and does NOT cover user caused damage or cosmetic issues. If you want a two year warranty, you can purchase an AppleCare+ plan with the phone at additional cost.

It has an IP68 water resistance rating which in the watch world is pretty low. It is not designed for use in the water.
