I'm unable to use Stage Manager to extend my iPad to another monitor. I have an iPad Pro 11" (3rd Gen) and I'm running iPadOS 16.1 (20B82). I have attempted to connect to a monitor via USB-C and via USB-C to HDMI. I can see the mirrored display but I do not have the ability to extend my desktop. I have enabled Stage Manager and toggled that on/off a few times. Any suggestions on how to resolve would be appreciated.

Apple has not, as yet, officially added external monitor support to the new iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature.
Look for Apple to, officially, release the extended monitor support, to the iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature, in a future iPadOS 16 update.

Stage Manager support for external monitors is not yet available - this feature being planned for release later in the iPadOS16 lifecycle. For now, Screen Mirroring is supported.
