watchOS 6 compatibility with iOS 16

Hello, I have a Apple Watch series 2 which runs the last watchOS 6.3 and an iPhone 11 Pro Max yesterday I update my iPhone to the last update IOS 16.0.3 and now I can’t pair anymore Apple Watch since I get the message that I need to update my Apple Watch first. With iOS 15 was all fine. Is it watchOS 6.3 compatible with iOS 16 or later. How should I proceed. Thank you

Restart both the iPhone and the Apple Watch. Then attempt the pairing process.
