Can't add a new contact to the contact app

Macos Ventura; MacBook Pro

use Gmail for contacts

When trying to add a new contact to Apple's contact app, in the middle of adding it, it disappears. At the end of my contacts shows up a "no name". I thought Apple said in these forums that it was a known issue. Some sort of issue between Apple's Mac Contact App and using Google on the back end for your contacts. I thought Ventura was going to fix it, but the problem still exists. Are others have this problem and if so how can we escalate it to get Apple to fix it? It used to work several MacOS releases ago, but the past few releases this problem has existed.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.0
