Cannot create contacts in Mac Contacts App

This has been a long standing unresolved issue affecting basic functionality of the MacOS Contacts app.

When you try to create a new contact, the Create Form suddenly disappears in the middle of entering information about the contact. Below is an example of what happens. Notice how in the middle of typing the phone number, the new contact form suddenly disappears.

Here is a thread showing many people having the same problem:

Posting this here in hopes that someone at Apple will escalate this issue. This has happened on many versions of MacOS for me. I'm currently on the most recent release, Ventura 13.4 (22F66).

Are we to understand, from the Link provided, the user is Syncing the Contacts Application to a Google Source ?

Is that be so, have seen many a person having a similar issue.

Try Disconnecting from the Internet and then Add the New Contacts information.

Does it work ?

Or, Un-associate the Contacts with the Google Service just long enough to Add the New Contact information.

Does it work ?
