iPhone mail disappears when scheduling send after OS16 update

I updated to OS16, and now 16.1, and I keep sending emails and turns out they just disappear. Mainly happens if I schedule a future send, I've had to rewrite emails so many times as people will email me stating they haven't heard back from me. There are no drafts saved or sent emails it just completely disappears. Anyone experiencing this or found perhaps a setting that needs to be changed? I just don't understand how they completely disappear and just sometimes an old draft is saved that is when I first started the email so end up having to rewrite everything.
