I have a problem whit my iMac , i have change the HHD because is death .
after Install a SSD , i Want to boot on a USB to Install MacOs , but lot of command dont work .
when i push on option on startup disk selection screen doesn't appears just a mouse in white screen.
when i push on Command Option R on startup internet recovery don't start
can you help me ?

Hmmm, is yours Late or Early 2009?
Either one has Storage Interface:Serial ATA (3 Gb/s), so 6G May step down or not, de[ends on Make & model.
Yes, you must Format it first. Mac OS Extended for 2009 iMac tro start with, may take APFS Format with 10.13.6

the SSD is formated Mac OS Extented HFS+,
when i start the iMac and i push on option on startup, disk selection screen doesn't appears just a mouse in white screen.
Not from Windows, does your Mac boot in restore Mode?

That's OK Win key = Mac CMD , Alt =Mac Option
Sounds like the SSD or connection, which SSD is it.is it maybe 6G instead of 3G?
Are you using a Wired USB Keyboard & Mouse, or wireless?
i use a wired Keybord but is a "microsoft " Keyboard

i have insert a 2021 Sandisk SSD i think is a SATA3 6G
but the SSD dont adapt this speed ?

It may very well not, depends on the Mac & I think I remember that vintage requires 3G.
MacSales says only 3G...
Oh, one other point I just remembered, many 6G SATA devices will end up negotiating a 1.5G connection on 3G Macs.
Option boot only shows bootable Drives, have you tried Installing to it yet?
i think my boot key is defect , i have insert a Microsoft bootable key and is show up ,
do you have a good tuto for create a bootable USB for Mac from Windows ,
