Cannot use music for alarms on iPhone 14

I previously had an iPhone XS Max. It was always on the most recent iOS. Never had a problem using music as an alarm. I upgrade to the iPhone 14 about a week ago and transferred info with iCloud. The old alarms were still there and said that my selected song was still selected, but instead of playing that it plays the default obnoxious radar sound. I’ve googled and followed the recommendations of turning of Dolby Atmos and never had lossless audio turned on. Chose a completely different song from an album I downloaded new on this phone. And still it defaults to radar. Please help, I like waking up peacefully, not waking up jarringly like I’m under attack.

Same here. I found a workaround by selecting a song in my library that was not lossless. That works.

I also needed to download the song to my phone before it would work as an alarm. Alarms will only use music that has been downloaded to your device. Stupidly, the app let you select music that has not been downloaded so there’s no way to tell that this is required.

I have heard of others deleting the lossless song they were trying to use, going into settings and turning off lossless as well as Dolby, then re-downloading the song in high quality rather than lossless. Then they go back in and turn lossless and Dolby back on again for future use.

Seems like Apple might try a bit harder to fix this bug. I suppose first they need to acknowledge it, which they’ve never done.
