I reset my password for notes but I still can’t get in

Resetting a password for locked notes only affects new and future notes. The previous Locked notes will always require the original password that was used to lock them. You will get unlimited guesses to unlock those previously locked notes.

Setting a new password does not change the password for old notes. You need to remember the old password or you won't be able to unlock them.
