Youtube downloaded videos not running offline when connected to HDMI to TV

I downloaded some videos from Youtube subscription on my IPad Air to have something to watch at home to connect it to my TV (TCL Roku) via HDMI cable. It works if not yet plugged in but when I connect it to HDMI to TV, it shows like a flickering-skipping action. What should I do to fix it?

Because simply we don't have personal and stable internet in Bush Alaska. :) I only download videos at school which is the only stable and reliable internet option here. Wifi functions won't work. That's why my question is about HDMI.

Thanks for the shortcut restart tip! Yes, my adapter are genuine and my HDMI cable is good. The IPad adapter works even without plugging it to the charger which I always do when I use it for my class, it works because I have an internet at school, this only happens at home when I dont have wifi/internet. I have already tried to remove and connect it again after a few seconds before and it didn't work. I also tried to remove the app and download it again incase Youtube needs to be restarted, still didn't worked out. I also have updated my iPad2022 to it's latest update yet still didn't work. I will try to reset the ipad itself. Hopefully it works.

If you own a smart TV that uses the Roku streaming box technology, and your TV is connected to a home wireless Internet Service Provider, why don't you simply go into your TV, go the main Roku screen.

On the lefthand menu options, scroll down until you see Channels, click on Channels and do a search for YouTube channel/app.

Download the YouTube channel/app to your TV.

Launch the YouTube app on your TV.

Login, using your YouTube user account info, into the YouTube app on your TV.

You can, now, view YouTube directly on your TCL flat screen TV using Roku.

In addition, if you use the YouTube app on your iPad, using the same home wireless Internet network, you should be able to use the YouTube app, on your iPad, to link/mirror your videos, wirelessly, by, first, starting a YouTube video from your iPad.

In the upper right hand corner of the video, tap a small rectangular icon

When you tap that rectangular icon, if all devices are on the same wireless, WiFi network, your TCL Roku TV should appear in a drop down menu.

Tap your TCL TV and the YouTube video that was playing on your iPad will now play in YouTube app/channel on your TCL Roku TV.

Another option.

Roku streaming technology supports Apple AirPlay 2.

So you can just AirPlay your entire iPad to your TCL Roku TV

If all devices are on the same wirless, WiFi network, on your iPad slide a finger downward from the upper right hand corner of your iPad to reveal the iPadOS Control Centre.

Tap the overlapping rectangles icon ( screen mirroring icon ) a dark gray pop-up should appear listing a panel with your TCL Roku TV.

Tap your TV panel.

Apple AirPlay should load and install and launch on your TV.

A 4 digit code will appear on your TV and at the same time a code input window should pop-up in the middle of your iPad.

Type the code into the box on your iPad to activate AirPlay link to both devices.

Then you could do whatever you want to do on your iPad and it will be mirror’ed to your TCL Roku TV.

To exit out of Airplay when you are done using your iPad this way, swipe a finger downward from the upper right hand corner to, again, reveal the iPadOS Control Centre.

Tap the overlapping rectangular icon ( screen mirror’ing ) again and tap the Stop Mirror’ing Panel.

Okay, Alright.

I had no way of knowing any of this.

Is the HDMI adapter a genuine Apple adapter?

The HDMI adapter needs to be the genuine Apple HDMI adapter.

Typically, cheaper, third party HDMI adapters do not work or work well.

Make sure its no issues with the HDMI cable and Apple HDMI adapter.

Make sure these are all connected securely.

Make sure there is external power connected to the Apple HDMI adapter by using your iPad’s power/charge cable plugged into your Apple power/charging adapter block.

If still an issue, with everything still plugged into the Apple HDMI adapter, just unplug the adapter, wait 5-10 seconds and re-plug in the adapter.

If still no joy, with the adapter and all cables still plugged in,

For iPad models with a Home button, do a simple hard reset/forced restart of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake/power button simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

OR

For much newer design iPad models, without a Home button, try the new simple hard reset/forced restart procedure for the new 2018-2022 iPad Pros, 2020/21 iPad Air 4 and 5 and 2021 iPad Mini 6 models.

1. Press and release the volume button closest to the top Power button

2. Then immediately press and release the volume button farthest from the top Power button.

3. Then, press and hold the top single sleep/wake/power button You will see the Slide to Power off button, but keep on holding down the power button until you see the Apple logo, then let it go.

Once you have performed all the steps, wait for a few seconds and your 2018 iPad Pro will boot up completely to the iPad Pro’s Lock screen.

If still issues, unfortuantely, this is all that I have for help/advice on this issue.

Best of Luck to You!
