Sony SxS card reader not working with my MacBook Pro

I’ve just bought the latest Sony SxS card reader and it’s not recognising my SxS cards. My Mac recognises the reader but not the contents. I’ve downloaded the latest Mac software and the Sony firmware

Macbook Pro M1 card reader not working at all Hi! Since i got my Macbook Pro (16-inch, 2021) M1 Max, about a year ago, the card reader hasn't been working at all. It doesn't recognize/mount/read any card. Whenever i connect a simple external card reader they all work fine, so it's definitely a problem with the card reader and not with the cards. Also disk utility doesn't see them. I would like to be able to use the internal reader though. Does anybody know a solution? I'm using Monterey 12.6, would a new OS help? Thanks & cheers, mark

XQD Prograde Card Reader not working with Mac Ventura OS The reader worked for a year, and failed after the Ventura OS upgrade 13.1 & 13.5. It is listed in the System Report under Thunderbolt. I unplugged the reader & plugged back in. Rebooted with the Sony 64 GB G Series card in the reader. Reinstalled Ventura Also tried a Sony 120 GB card. The reader fails to show up on the Desktop nor in the device list in the Finder. External Disks is checkmarked. Wonder if anyone has this problem using a Sony reader with the Sony cards on Mac?

If you're having issues with an accessory and the Mac does recognize the accessory, we'd recommend reaching out to Sony directly for support with their product.
