Disabling Icloud photo sharing

I use icloud photos on my phone for extra storage and also have a mac. I dont want any photos on my mac so i think i have switched this off in settings. How can i delete photos on my mac from when it was previously on without losing them on my phone?

Choose the Options that best suit your needs from Photos >> Preferences and refer to below image
