Bubble in text window when dictating

Got a new iPhone with the latest update and a bubble with a microphone and it appears in the text message window when I dictate. It picks up every sound, whether it's somebody else talking or the radio playing as I'm dictating. Apparently, if you don't update to IOS 16, this does not pop up when dictating. Nobody at Apple, meaning the techies knew this. People that I work with have not updated and they don't have this problem. I only dictate my text, so this is driving me crazy as it covers up the text area as it pops on and off..

hopefully somebody has some suggestions on how to get rid of this. Also, everybody else has the iPhone 13 just like me.

The contact name is Green (SMS) in your post which means they are non-iPhone users.

The Voice Message (Microphone) will only get activated for iMessage and not for SMS/MMS.

That means after you type in a Phone number or Apple ID in the "To:" field that has been registered for iMessage (Apple Devices) then the microphone icon will get activated for you to send Voice Messages
