iPhone glitch

Does anyone else have the glitch where if you start typing a phone number into the imessage app the app freezes after entering the first 3 digits? I've had this issue for years. I even got the new iphone 14 and still have this glitch. I've tried voice to text and it also freezes the iMessage app after the first 3 digits. No issues if I'm texting a contact I have in my phone but I can't text people I don't have saved in my phone unless I type their number in the notes app or something else to copy the number and then paste it into the to field in iMessage.
