My iOS is 14 and I want to upgrade to 15 but it is showing iOS 16 instead of ios15

Correct. If your iPhone is capable of iOS 16, that's the only option you will get. You cannot choose what version to upgrade to.

An iPhone X can run iOS 16 just fine.

I have no issues with iOS 16. People always complain about the newest iOS version.

People also complained about iOS 15 when it came out.
