How do I delete an album or folder in Photos

If you control-click (or right-click) on the album or folder a menu will come up that includes "Delete Album"
If you do this, no pictures will be removed. The album doesn't really contain pictures-- it just has a reference to them. So the photos in the album are still safely available in the library. If you delete a folder, all the albums in it will be eliminated, but the pictures will still be in your library.
