Can't Delete a System Extension

I wanted to uninstall some software from my Mac, and I was able to do so. But when I searched the program name I see there is still one system extension from the program on my computer and when I try to delete it I get the message that reads "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." I'm sure it's not a big deal but I'd like to get everything from this program off my Mac if I can and this is the lone holdout. I am the only user/owner/admin. I've been searching online and I've tried a few of the more obvious suggestions but so far no luck. Anyone know how to get rid of this one straggler? TIA

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac, locate and move the extension to the Trash Bin in the Dock. Then reboot normally.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will assure a good boot into Safe Mode.
