Importing photos from iPhone to iMac

I am running a 2011 iMac with High Sierra OS. I have a iPhone SE 2020 with iOS 16.0. Today I attempted to import 83 photos from the phone to Photos on my iMac. All of the photos were recently taken using the iPhone. I get this error message: "Some items cannot be added to your Photos library because they may be an unrecognizable file format or the file may not contain valid date. Until this incident, I have never had any problem importing photos into Photos. Can someone please help me, in a straightforward how I can resolve this issue? Thank you!

Hi Phatfried,

For help with this issue test the steps recommended in a previous post with the same question found here: importing pictures into the Photos app on… - Apple Community

You can also ensure the steps for importing found here are being followed: Import photos from a camera or phone using Photos on Mac
