In Monterey, why can't I turn off the notification sound for Mail. In Focus / Notifications, there are four options to check/uncheck ... but nothing for "Sound"?

Hello wisdom fan,

Sounds for the Mail app can be configured within the Mail app's Preferences window. To get there try the following:

  1. Launch the Mail app
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Select the General tab
  4. In here you may turn switch the option for "New messages sound" to None, and can also toggle off 'Play sounds for other mail actions', if desired.

If you happen to wish to provide feedback, the best place to do so would be on Apple's dedicated feedback site here: Product Feedback - Apple

Cheers.
