Can I use my new iMac 24in as an external display for my windows laptop?
I have tried a few different things (according to google) but have had no luck.
my laptop is a work laptop and I am unable to install any external programs.
+1, nope remember your iMac is a computer it is not an external display for other devices. If you need an external display for your work laptop, ask your employer to provide one or you can find them inexpensively beginning at about $100.
