Will MainStage ever support Surround sound?

One of my favorite aspects of MainStage is the continuity between it and Logic Pro X. My ideal workflow is to design my live performance backing tracks in Logic and then bring them into MainStage. The problem is that, as far as I can tell, MainStage doesn't have any support for surround sound. Does anyone know if there are plans to bring MainStage to parity with Logic Pro X in this regard? Thanks!

Hi, tfromtroon — thanks for the reply. What I mean is that while in Logic Pro X, I can change the sound output to Surround (in my case Quadraphonic), map the quad outputs to my interface outputs (4 of them), and the Surround Panner becomes available. I can then route individual tracks to the quad sound field as expected. In MainStage, though, I don’t see any option in the preferences to use Surround output. I’m on the latest version of everything; happy to provide more specific info if it will help to solve this. Thanks again!

I'm just using a standard audio interface with four outputs, and it's configured as Quadraphonic in the OS Audio Devices tool. The Surround Panner is a feature of Logic Pro X which lets you place individual tracks within a surround or quad sound field. The routing of the speakers in that field to specific outputs happens in the Logic Pro X preferences. In MainStage, the audio preferences only allow for me to assign a stereo pair (1-2 or 3-4) as the outputs; there are no options for Surround output.
