I can't load in

I presume you meant to say you can't login?

To try and figure out what's going on, I downloaded the McDonald's app to my iPad. I chose to let it use Apple as the login choice and to hide/anonymize my email address. It then uses Touch ID to complete the login.

To test otherwise, I started an order and dropped a breakfast item into my "bag", which then showed a count of one item. Closed and deleted the app, then reinstalled it. After logging in again the order I had started, as expected, was gone.

But, that brings us back to the login. iOS itself is remembering my login choice for the McDonald's app. To possibly fix it, when the prompt automatically comes up for my fingerprint to login, I can tap Cancel and then use one of the other login options.

Preferably, I'd like to eliminate the old login data entirely. I looked where it should be under Settings > Passwords, but there was nothing for the McDonald's app. Not in the regular list of saved logins, or under the Security Recommendations sub heading.

Since I was using Touch ID for the McDonald's login, I also looked under Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. Nothing.

So where is iOS hiding this login data in iOS 15? Good question, because I sure can't find it. I'll try iOS 16 on my iPhone next.

That shouldn't be possible. All apps are sandboxed in iOS. When you delete an app, all associated data goes with it since the app is required to store any such variable data within itself.

Under iOS 16.0.3, I tried the McDonald's app on my 2022 iPhone SE. It didn't even require a sign in to order anything. All I had to do was verify the store location I was picking up from.
