Complaints of being able to hear me

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 12 promax to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and with the new phone I’m getting complaints from people on the far end of the phone when using CarPlay in my vehicle. Now I haven’t changed my truck there’s nothing blocking the mike, but people are complaining and when I take the phone off CarPlay they can hear me normal is anybody else having this issue, how do I correct?
