I have been using a new MACBook Air (13") for two years and am getting ready to giveaway, donate my old MacBook Air (11"). I have deactivated the old device from my iCloud account. How do I delete files and data from the old MAC. I then plan to reinstall the old MAC with it's factory settings. I do have a reinstall USB drive. Thank you.

thank you. I'll try. My fear is deleting what's on the old computer which will delete what's on my iCloud account and other sync devices but because I deactivated the old computer from my iCloud account I'm hoping this doesn't happen. Thanks again.
None of the steps in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support will delete anything from your iCloud account, whether or not your old computer is disconnected from iCloud.
