StatefulFirewall Software install stuck

What can I do to get my software install moving again?

Macbook trying to install StatefulFirewall for last 48 hours. Hard reset, turned back on, no issues or damage. Stuck on running package scripts.

Tried to shutdown but same pop-up, unable to shutdown as new software being installed… Can I fix this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

StatefulFirewall install stuck My Mac is trying to run a StatefulFirewall install?? Not sure what it is but it doesn't fully load and wont let me shut down the computer until it has finished? Ive tried closing the install but it just reloads? I have also turned the computer off with the button but the install starts again once I restart the computer?

Stateful firewall install I can’t shut down my Mac due to a stateful firewall instal message. Nor can I do any updates to other apps as it says install in progress. I can’t force quit either as it keeps popping up and won’t shut down. Someone suggested removing Macafee. I have just renewed my subscription. If I do this, do I need other virus protection? It’s a sole use home laptop Mac book air. Thanks

Same here and I cannot find anything online to assist. Was hoping I would find something here. Hopefully someone will respond :(
