Can’t delete/reinstall app, app will show as white grid icon

I was trying to delete an app or game called Roblox, however when I wanted to reinstall it again on the appstore it still says "OPEN". When I restarted my iPad the Roblox app was still there, but it shows as a white icon with grid lines. If I click on the app it just closes, I even looked through - Settings > General > iPad Storage but Roblox app wasn’t there. So now I have this icon that is non-functional but I am unable to reinstall the app. I’ll attach a picture of the icon I’m getting. Any suggestions are appreciated.

We want to help resolve the issue so you can delete the app; and reinstall it if you prefer.

Try using these steps to delete the app from your Home Screen from the icon you provided the screenshot of:

"How to delete an app

Touch and hold the app.
Tap Remove App .

3. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

Keep in mind that some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your device, so you might not see the option to delete an app. Here’s a list of built-in Apple apps you can delete from your device. If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple, disable parental controls, then try deleting the app again.

If you touch and hold an app from the Home Screen and the apps start to jiggle:

Tap the Remove icon in the upper-left corner of the app.

2. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

Once the app is deleted this way, please restart your device. This should resolve the issue so can reinstall it from the App Store if you want it back on your device.
