Siri only gives half of the directions in maps

Siri has stopped giving me all directions in maps. She only speaks about half of them. Sometimes, she says things like, “in two feet, turn left,” as if I have time to do that when she doesn’t give me a warning in advance. She used to speak EVERY direction in advance.

Yes, Siri settings for maps are “normal;” she does talk, she just doesn’t say everything. Why is this happening? It’s incredibly annoying when I have to suddenly make a U-turn because I didn’t get directions in time.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Is this happening while connected to CarPlay? If so, does the same thing occur if not connected to CarPlay?

There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot this:

Close out the Maps app completely and relaunch it. Check out: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support this steps can help when you experience unexpected behavior in an app.
Restart your iPhone. Restarting can help resolve many unexpected issues we may face with our devices.
