Why a text message on my iPhone 12 Pro Max not delete. I hit delete and it returns to the app.

Unfinished/unsent text message disappears On my iPhone 16.5 when I have a text message about ready to send and a new message comes and I click to see it, when returning to complete the text message not yet sent it is no where to be found. Disappearing Text Messages Has anyone experienced text messages disappearing before you can actually read them? I’ve literally opened my iPhone message app and will see text new messages and when I select the message, there’s no content.
