Apple Watch 2

My Apple Watch 2 says that Reseting will not remove Activation lock. I want to unpair my watch from the previous iPhone that Is no longer in my possesion. If I reset it, will I still have basic functions available? Or will resetting simply 'brick' the watch?

Remove activation lock without phone My wife hasn't used her watch in a while. She recently got a new phone and I traded in the old one. I did not unpair it from the old phone because I has forgot she even had the watch. The new phonw is trying to pair with it but I don’t want to and it won’t anyway. I just want to reset the watch so I can trade it in. From what I read though it won’t remove the activation lock just by resetting. So what do I do to remove it so it can be traded in? thanks eric

Apple Watch unpair fail So I’ve just bought an iPhone 14 and transferred all my data and files from my 11 pro, but when I went to change my watch from the 11 to the 14, I go to unpair from the 11 and it said failed to unpair. But, when going back into the watch app on the 11 it no longer has the Watch available, but the watch itself still has all the settings and pre set things and working as normal… just without having a paired phone. I don’t know how to fix this and I’ve read that you can do a reset on it and it could fix it and make it like it’s stock again, but that won’t remove the activation lock. I don’t know how to go about this and I don’t want to brick my watch, please help!!
