AApologies in advance if this duplicates a question I tried rather unsuccessfully to enter on my phone!

On my iPhone SE (2nd generation) there is no 'Search' button on the Home screen. Under Settings/Home Screen, this is what appears. Many thanks in anticipation of help.

Hi Michael Graubart,

Try the steps here: Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Once you click and open the link, please read through and complete the steps in the section titled "Change search settings."

Swipe to search

1) Swipe down from the middle of the Home screen.

2) Tap the Search field, then enter what you're looking for. As you type, Search updates results in real time.

3) To see more results, tap Show More or search directly in an app by tapping Search in App.

4) Tap a search result to open it.

Change search settings

You can change the search settings to limit which apps and results appear while you're searching. Here's how:

1) Go to Settings and tap Siri & Search.

2) Scroll down and select an app.

3) Then select Show App in Search, Show Content in Search, Show on Home Screen, Suggest App, or Suggest Notifications.

To turn off Siri Suggestions for all apps, go to Settings > Siri & Search, and turn off the settings you want.

We recommend the steps above because they will show you how to use the Search feature on your iPhone and change the Search settings on your device.
