AirPods Pro Audio Balance Drifting on Mac (Not fixable in System Preferences)

Hi all,

I am aware that this issue has been present for quite some time now, and usually when this happens people can go into system preferences and change the audio balance so it is fixed again.

But in my case, system preferences indicates that the balance is correct and there is nothing wrong with it. The audio balance would randomly shift to the right and the only thing to resolve it is to put them back into the case and get them out again. Despite doing that, the same thing would happen again very shortly.

MacBook: MacBook Pro 16 inch 2021

AirPods: AirPods Pro

Anyone know what to do with this?

Thanks!

Yep I am experiencing the exact same, I also have mine updated to the latest firmware and whenever I first put them in they sound strange. I think it is the spatial audio feature that is causing troubles cause I can definitely hear that what was supposed to come from the centre is coming from side to side. When I put them back in again then it seems to fix itself once again.

Also Twitter seems to keep spatial audio head tracking on whenever you play media, can someone verify that?

I am on iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 16.1.1, MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) on MacOS 13.0.1
