I recently bought a book on my phone, and after purchasing only the first page of each chapter is shown. On my iPad, chapters are complete. Deleting and downloading again on my phone has not helped. Would anyone have a suggestion how I get the full book on my phone as well? Thanks.

Yep exactly the same problem here with the latest John Grisham book downloaded yesterday. First page of chapter on iPhone and complete book on iPad.
Seems to be a common problem and so would be great if Apple could resolve the issue
I have the same problem - but so far with only one book. Another bought at the same time is fine. The offending book works fine on my Mac.
I've tried removing and re-downloading, hasn't worked.
ios 16.1 has fixed the issue for me 👍🏻
