System data increase issues

Since upgrading to iPhone 14 pro max and iOS 16 (currently 16.0.2), my system data will increase to max out my 256 Gb storage and give me an error. Turning the phone off then on (restart) will bring the system data allocation space down to “normal”, about 10-15 Gb, but then slowly increase over 8-48 hours until the same error occurs. Is this an iOS issue or something else pending a bug fix?
