Apple Fitness Keeps Freezing

Since the IOS16 update, my Apple Fitness workouts have been pausing/buffering/freezing. Sometimes it corrects itself within seconds, but other times i have to fully exit and then resume work out. It does this multiple times during a workout which is very frustrating. I have used 2 different apple TVs and it is happening on both. It has nothing to do with my connection, as nothing else is impacted and one of the Apple TVs is hardwired in. How do I fix this?

This is not helpful. I notice it being mentioned many times in the past year. Since the most recent upgrade the same thing is happening at our home. We have a gigabit ethernet connection and the other AppleTV functions work fine.

It has happened repeatedly, almost daily, whether the workout is a new one (is it a lag from downloading?) - or one previously done (is it not stored for later use?).

Directing us to "Get Support" sidesteps the problem, which is surely widespread and not due to an individual's setup.

Perhaps an .01 update is required?

Cheers,

Hello peanutzzz,

We understand that you're having issues with videos in Fitness+ pausing unexpectedly. Thanks for filling us in on your network setup and that other streaming services aren't being affected.

As long as all your devices are running the latest software (tvOS and iOS) and you've confirmed that your network settings are set to what's recommended by Apple (Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support), then it would be best to connect with Apple Support so they can investigate. You can reach them directly at Get Support.

Best wishes.
