What is the "Angus_dumps" file in my documents folder of iCloud Drive?

Hi! I recently started using a MacBook Air M1, and when I logged into iCloud with it, and got iCloud working, a weird folder popped up in my iCloud documents folder on the MacBook Air M1 and my other computers called "angus_dumps". I'm still seeing the documents folders for my other computers, and everything is working fine. It's just that I see that "angus_dumps" folder in there - and it's empty.

I'm using the desktop and documents folder sharing in iCloud Drive.

Does anyone know what it is, and whether I need to keep it?

Hi claycasey,

We can verify that since this is in your iCloud Documents, that this folder is not anything crucial to the operation of your Mac. We aren't able to tell you how it got created, but if you don't see any data in it and it is empty, you can delete it if you like: Delete files and folders on Mac

"On your Mac, drag the item to the Bin in the Dock or select the item, then press Command-Delete. If an item is locked, click Continue to confirm you want to move the locked item to the Trash."
