Outlook app is crashing

The Outlook app is crashing when I try to open it. Tried removing and re-installing the app. Tried clearing cache and did the latest update today. Nothing seems to work. This is with an iPhone 11 with 16.0.2. Outlook version 4.2238.1. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I updated my iPhone yesterday and today tried to fix the way it changed my outlook email viewing (new on bottom for some reason). I clicked on outlook settings to switch thread view and the app just shut off as everyone else explains. Deleted and reinstalled with it not working at all. Very frustrating. Was that a push for apple to switch users to their new upgraded mail app???

I am having the exact same issue. Changed the settings to remove the threaded conversations, in the previous update, and now it crashes every time I open the app. The update didn’t work, or deleting and reinstalling.

The only advice I can find is to clear the cache history and delete the app, but I can’t find a way to clear it. The app won’t open and the general phone settings doesn’t give me that option in iPhone storage.

So Frustrating!!!

I am having this issue. Using latest iOS 16 update on iPhone 11 and latest version of outlook app. App fails to lid anything and crashes after a few seconds on launch. I have reset device, reinstalled app, cleared cache and still nothing works. Very frustrating as I now have to use outlook via web on safari to view any work emails. This should be resolved ASAP!

Had the same problem after updating last night.

  1. Settings > iPhone Storage > Outlook > Delete App
  2. Power Cycle iPhone
  3. Manually Backup iPhone
  4. Settings > General >Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings
  5. Erase everything and restore previous iCloud backup from before the IOS 16 upgrade.
  6. Reinstall Outlook and add back your email accounts, tweak setting back as you want them and wait for data to sync.

20 mins + Time to download all data and all back working.

Hope it helps.
