Deleted movement data

I upgraded to watchOS 9 a few weeks ago and realised that the movement data had been deleted in fitness app but in health app I see them. I restarted Apple Watch and iPhone, unpaired and paired iPhone and Apple Watch. Both are up to date. What can I do?

I’ve also contact the assistance without success.

Hello Ludovico09,

Do you happen to have Health enabled for iCloud? You can check that at the following spot on the iPhone:

  1. Settings
  2. [your name]
  3. iCloud
  4. Health
  5. Tap this and ensure the 'Sync this iPhone' option is on

If all other data has synced successfully, then there may not be an option for recovering the lost data.

If you happen to have a recent encrypted backup on a computer, then restoring that may be able to help. This page has info on that for reference: About encrypted backups on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Cheers.

Thanks for getting back to us with that information, Ludovico09. It’s appreciated.

If by "the health data are saved on iCloud but I finished the iCloud space”, you mean that your iCloud storage is full, you’ll want to use these steps to free up some of the storage space. When your iCloud storage is full, it can stop syncing, so this may help with the data missing on your iPhone. Here are the steps to reclaim some of your iCloud storage: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Please let us know the results when you're able.

All the best.
