AirPods Pro keep disconnecting since AP2 launched

My AirPods Pro (original) keep disconnecting since AirPods Pro 2 launched.

Is Apple doing a similar trick like when they throttled the iPhone?

I have had my AirPods since they were launched and have never had this problem before. I wear them 3-4 hrs a day for when I watch tv, phone calls and the noise cancelling when I leaf blow my property.

However mysteriously, since the new AirPods Pro 2 came out, they keep disconnecting after 10 minutes.

Hello, SilentAlex.

Try the steps in this support article and see if that helps get your AirPods working as they should again: If your AirPods won't connect - Apple Support.

"If you can't connect to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

      1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPod touch has the latest version of iOS or that your iPad has the latest version of iPadOS.
      2. Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging.
      3. To make sure that Bluetooth is on, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
      4. If your AirPods are connected, make sure that they're selected as your audio device. If your AirPods appear in the list of devices but they don't connect, go to the next step.
      5. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the charging case for up to 10 seconds. The status light on the front of the charging case should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.
      6. Hold the charging case, with your AirPods inside and the lid open, next to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
      7. Follow the steps on the screen of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
      8. Test your AirPods. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods."

Thank you, but this didn't help at all.

I have the latest updated version of everything (iPhone, Apple TV, AirPods Pro, MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro)

  • Still the AirPods disconnect while connected to my iphone
  • When connected to iPhone, they get removed from my Apple TV so I have to manually approach the device and pair the bluetooth again (every day) if I want to use them with Apple TV.

I has been several weeks now and it has only been frustrating to use the AirPods Pro, which originally worked flawlessly from day of purchase two years ago.
