What does it mean to Enable sticky question on thread pages and using a flat view

A thread is a question and any replies to it. Flat view shows each response one after the other in the order they were added to the thread, threaded view attempts to nest the replies to the particular post that was replied to. If the thread gets too long it will trip over to flat view. The sticky question is an optional panel at the top of the screen that holds the thread title as you scroll down the page.
