why can't I find my airpods in find my airpods?

In the same boat as you. I have the brand new 2nd generation Airpod Pros and its all connected to my iphone bluietooth and I can listen to music and stuff but its not showing up under my devices on Find My app. Now I even deleted my old airpod pros as so there would be no confusion with the names. Apparently the Airpods come with firmware 5A374 on release and then the new upgrade is 5A377 but it upgrades on its own during charging and I wish you can manually do it because it has yet to update. Apple support suggested this as a fix but it has yet to work. Hopefully maybe repeating this and it would work after a few tries or if maybe the Apple Store can look into it or maybe its my Airpods but I don't know.
