Download accessory firmware message

I read posts as far back as 2015 about the following message

"Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes. OK”, which occurs when attaching the Lightning Digital AV Adapter

I have an IPhone 13Pro & an iPhone 13 mini they both are updated to iOS version 16.0.2. Only the 13Pro gives me this error message. I have tried a factory reset & still get this message and am unable to stream certain apps to my tv

UPDATE/Correction:

both phones have the same issue

Was the adapter working prior to updating? If so, was it in use with these phones? Also just to confirm, this is the adapter that's in use? Lightning Digital AV Adapter - Lightning to HDMI - Apple

If this is happening with other devices, it's possible the issue might be with the adapter. If that's the case, we recommend you Contact Apple Support so they can look into service options available for you.

Yes the link is the adapter I'm using. I have been using it since before the update. I tried using it with a family members 12 pro max & have the same problem. There phone is updated to the one before the iOS version 16 updatw
