Touch ID on New MacBook Air

I just set it ups couple weeks ago and it's no longer working, do I simply set it up again?

How to activate Touch ID on keyboard? My problem is that "Touch ID" does not even show up in the list of options in System Settings after I activate the button according to instructions when I purchased my new keypad yesterday. I am running OS 13.4.1 on a Mac (just ran an OS update). My Mac is from 2019 and my Touch ID keyboard is brand new (Jul]y 2023). I tried rebooting twice and it did not work. Please help?
