Unable to reopen closed tab in safari tab groups

Hi, if i close a tab that exists in a safari tab group, then try to reopen it using cmd-****-T, it does not reopen. If I press this key combo multiple times, after a while it reopens closed tabs that did not exist in the tab group (basically it reopens the last tab that was not in the tab group).

Anyone know a fix for this?
