Disney+ IOS 16 iPhone 12 Pro Max Apple TV gen 3 won’t work

Since I’ve updated to IOS 16 my phone won’t airplay to my Apple TV gen 3, tells me “ something went wrong try again later” my wife's phone would connect till I updated that to IOS16! So I’m left with my iPad pro which is still IOS15…which still works. I’ve updated the Disney+ app, but that didn’t help. To boot Ive just payed a year subscription to Disney!

not real happy to tell you the truth. Is this another Apple trap to upgrade a device. If so I’m out good by (no pun intended) Apple.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem as you do. No solution after searching for answers. Very frustrated. Seems like no one in Apple or Disney cares about this. People reported that everything was fine after buying a new Apple TV 4K. I tend to believe in you that it might be a trap!

Just updated to IOS 16.1, now it works!!

sure am glade I didn’t go out and spend money of a new Apple TV. For those that have I feel for you.
