I have an iMac OS X El Capitan!

I have an I have an iMac OS X El Capitan version 10.11 early 2009 memory 8GB, cannot update to any later software? i love it and use it mostly internet and pic. but all app.now must hv a later versios ? can i upgrade?

any suggestions?

That iMac model can't be upgraded past El Capitan.
